WhatsApp's voice call feature might be even closer than you think, with some new hints suggesting that we'll be able to make in-app calls very soon.

WPCentral was tipped off by volunteers who translate Hindi languages, confirming that they'd received new translation requests that hint at the new feature.

Three new strings - Hang up, Incoming call and Outgoing call – are, we did say, pretty obvious clues that WhatsApp is finalising voice calling.

Talking heads

At MWC WhatsApp announced that a voice calling feature would be added to the app before the second quarter of 2014 was out.

It'll put the service up against Skype, which already offers voice calling.

However for WhatsApp it'll only be coming to iOS and Android users to begin with.

Samsung Electronics is all set to launch Galaxy Note 3 and Samsung Galaxy Gear smartwatch in India on Tuesday.
Although the consumer electronics major is yet to announce the price of the two devices in India, Galaxy Note 3 and Galaxy Gear are expected to cost approximately Rs 45,000 and Rs 20,000 respectively. The company had earlier said both these devices would go on sale from September 25.
Samsung Galaxy Note 3 has a 5.7 inch Super-Amoled screen and weighs 168 grams.

Samsung, which is the world's top handset maker, hopes the Galaxy Gear will boost the appeal of its range of Android-powered smartphones, as it battles to maintain supremacy against arch rival Apple Inc, which had launched iPhone 5 and iPhone C last week.

Samsung had unveiled these devices at its Galaxy Unpacked event in Berlin. The new Galaxy Note, which is slightly larger than its predecessor, is better equipped for multi-tasking, Samsung said, allowing users to open multiple frames at once. It also has a stylus, called the S Pen. The device has a 5.7 inch Super-Amoled screen and weighs 168 grams.
The phone will be available in jet black, classic white, and blush pink color options. Samsung has incorporated a 13 megapixel rear camera in its Note series product.
The Galaxy Gear, which has a 1.6-inch screen and weighs 2.6 ounces, has a 1.9 megapixel camera embedded in the strap and a built-in speaker that allows users to conduct hands-free calls. Besides photos and hands-free calls, it can perform functions like instant messaging.
The device, which will come preloaded with more than 60 apps, including a step-counting pedometer and S Voice, a voice-activated app akin to Apple's Siri, can however not be used for composing emails or downloading music.

Betting big on premium products to boost sales during the upcoming festival season in India, the company has already said that it is planning to launch several products the next three months including Note 10.1 in the last week of October.
Samsung will also launch two smart phones in India this month for less than Rs 15,000, intensifying competition in the mid-segment mobile market.

Apple on Tuesday replaced the iPhone 5 with two new smartphones the iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C. This replacement in effect means that Apple will not produce iPhone 5 anymore, and will sell only the stock that is already available with retailers in the market.

The company will however, continue with its iPhone 4S model, which will be available for free in its 8GB version. The company's US website now sports only three iPhone models for consumer comparison, the iPhone 4S, 5C and 5S. Apple had launched iPhone 5 last year.
"The business has become so large that this year we are going to replace the iPhone 5 and we are going to replace it with two new designs," Apple chief Tim Cook announced at the company's Silicon Valley headquarters.
Apple's latest iPhones will come in a bevy of colors and two distinct designs, one made of plastic and the other that aims to be "the gold standard of smartphones." The move comes as rival phones from Samsung and other manufacturers are challenging Apple in the competitive smartphone market.
The iPhone 5C will be available in five colors - green, blue, yellow, pink and white. CEO Tim Cook calls the 5C "more fun and colorful" than any other iPhone. The 5C has a 4-inch (10-centimeter) Retina display and is powered by Apple's A6 chip. It also has an 8 megapixel camera, live photo filters and a rear cover that lights up.
The iPhone 5C will cost $99 for a 16 gigabyte model and $199 for a 32 gigabyte model with a two-year wireless contract. The phone is expected to help Apple boost sales in China and other regions where people don't have as much disposable income to spend on new gadgets compared with the U.S. and Europe.
The second phone, the iPhone 5S, is "the most forward-looking phone we have ever created," said PhilBSE 0.00 % Schiller, senior vice president of worldwide marketing at Apple. It will come in silver, gold and "space gray" and will run on a new chip, the A7, which is up to twice as fast as the A6.
The latest smartphone from Apple has a Touch ID system. A security feature, the sensor which has been built right into the home button scans the user's sub-epidermal skin layers.
"The ring around the home button is just a detection ring which turns on the Touch ID sensor," said Apple. "The home button is sapphire so it won't scratch. It can handle multiple fingerprints too," Apple added.
Apple also said that its next mobile operating system, iOS 7, will be available as a free download on Sept 18.
Craig Federighi, head of software at Apple Inc., said that "downloading iOS 7 is like getting an all new device."
The new system can be downloaded and installed on the iPhone 4 and later models, as well as on the tablets beginning with the iPad 2.

To prevent viruses and anti-malware in a windows pc there are many antivirus solutions available. For example Avast, Kaspersky, QuickHeal, McAfee, Norton, Avira and the name goes on and on.But in case of keeping the pc clean from the unwanted clutter and to make it fast, only few free productivity softwares are available.

CCleaner is a freeware system optimization, privacy and cleaning tool. It removes unused files from your system - allowing Windows to run faster and freeing up valuable hard disk space. It also cleans traces of your online activities such as your Internet history. Additionally it contains a fully featured registry cleaner. But the best part is that it's fast (normally taking less than a second to run) and contains NO Spyware or Adware! :)

Cleans the following:
  • Internet Explorer
  • Firefox
  • Google Chrome
  • Opera
  • Safari
  • Windows - Recycle Bin, Recent Documents, Temporary files and Log files.
  • Registry cleaner

  • 100% Spyware FREE

Most defrag tools only allow you to defrag an entire drive. Defraggler lets you specify one or more files, folders, or the whole drive to defragment.

When Defraggler reads or writes a file, it uses the exact same techniques that Windows uses. Using Defraggler is just as safe for your files as using Windows.

At a glance, you can see how fragmented your hard drive is. Defraggler's drive map shows you blocks that are empty, not fragmented, or needing defragmentation.

Give your hard drive a quick touch-up with Quick Defrag
Organizes empty disk space to further prevent fragmentation
Defragment while you sleep - and wake up with a faster PC. Set Defraggler to run daily, weekly or monthly
Full Windows OS and Multi-lingual support
Boot time defrag of system files
Supports 37 major languages
Defraggler is made by Piriform, the company that also brought you CCleaner, so is completely free!

Speccy will give you detailed statistics on every piece of hardware in your computer. Including CPU, Motherboard, RAM, Graphics Cards, Hard Disks, Optical Drives, Audio support. Additionally Speccy adds the temperatures of your different components, so you can easily see if there's a problem!

At first glance, Speccy may seem like an application for system administrators and power users. It certainly is, but Speccy can also help normal users, in everyday computing life.

If you need to add more memory to your system, for example, you can check how many memory slots your computer has and what memory's already installed. Then you can go out and buy the right type of memory to add on or replace what you've already got.

Eraser is an advanced security tool for Windows which allows you to completely remove sensitive data from your hard drive by overwriting it several times with carefully selected patterns.

When you delete a file, the operating system does not really remove the file from the disk; it only removes the reference of the file from the file system table. The file remains on the disk until another file is created over it, and even after that, it might be possible to recover data by studying the magnetic fields on the disk platter surface.

There are several problems in secure file removal, mostly caused by the use of write cache, construction of the hard disk and the use of data encoding. These problems have been taken into consideration when Eraser was designed, and because of this intuitive design and a simple user interface, you can safely and easily erase private data from your hard drive.

If you've ever been unable to delete a file in Windows, and can't figure out what program's using it, Unlocker is the solution. Have you ever seen these Windows error messages?
  • Cannot delete folder: It is being used by another person or program
  • Cannot delete file: Access is denied
  • There has been a sharing violation.
  • The source or destination file may be in use.
  • The file is in use by another program or user.
  • Make sure the disk is not full or write-protected and that the file is not currently in use.

Chrome, after almost twelve years, has bid farewell to the rendering engine, WebKit that was employed in its Chromium source browser project.Google has released Google Chrome 28 for Windows, Mac and Linux. The latest version of its open-source, cross-platform web browser sees Google implement the latest revision of its web rendering engine -- Blink -- and also give apps and extensions a better platform for interacting with users outside of the main browser window.
Chrome-28
As part of the switch to a "richer" notification system, Chrome introduces a new Notification Center, which works independently of the browser via the taskbar or menubar. Already present in Chrome OS, the center currently only appears on Windows builds with this stable release, but will be extended to Mac and Linux shortly.
The Notification Center will sit outside Chrome and still be functional even when the browser isn’t running, allowing apps and extensions to alert the user to updates. The Notification area icon remains invisible until a notification is sent by a compatible app -- such as Google Music -- has desktop notifications switched on.
Users may also need to check their settings under chrome://flags if nothing continues to appear -- try setting Enable Rich Notifications and Enable Synced Notifications to Enable and also click to enable Google Now notifications support. Restart your PC for the changes to take effect.
The other notable update in Chrome 28 is the switch to Google’s new Blink rendering engine, a fork of the older WebKit engine previously used by Google, which -- the company claims -- makes it easier for it to add features and security fixes without having to ensure backwards compatibility with WebKit. The Blink rendering engine can also be found in the recently released Opera 15.0 FINAL.
Google Chrome 28 FINAL is available now as a free download for Windows, Mac and Linux. Like all updates, it also contains a number of security fixes including one that resolves confusion when setting up the sign-in and sync tool.

No doubt Photoshop is best photo editing software for editing photos and to add some cool effects. For this there are many online web applications also which can Edit your pictures and images online without the extensive knowledge of any graphics application. Photo Editing is always fun and its pretty essential if you want your pictures to look good. You can apply many cool effects, that can make your photo look better and more enhanced.
Adobe Photoshop Express
Five Best Online Image Editors
Photoshop Express is Adobe's offering in the online editing arena. One of the first things you'll notice, and if you're an avid Photoshop user it's sure to elicit at least a chuckle, is that out of all the online image editors in the world, the one that looks the least like Photoshop is the actual legitimate Photoshop offering from Adobe. Nonetheless, the interface is easy to use and covers the basics nicely. One of the best features of Photoshop Express is the film strip view provided along the bottom of the editor when using a variety of the adjustment tools. Instead of just giving you a slider to adjust the saturation, white balance, and other subjective photo tweaks, Photoshop Express displays the changes incrementally, letting you pick your favourite from the gradient of choices. It's much faster for quick tweaks than fiddling with sliders. If you want to use a slider, however they haven't removed the feature; the more granular slider is underneath the pictures, allowing you to fine tune to your heart's content. Under the advanced feature set, you'll find tools like tinting, sketching, and distortion. Adobe Photoshop Express is free but, unlike all the other nominees in the Hive Five, it requires an account for you to use your own photos. If you just want to play around with it, the demo account contains sets of pictures for you to play with.
Pixlr
Five Best Online Image Editors
Pixlr takes a two-prong approach to image editing. When you visit Pixlr, you can opt to use Pixlr Express or Pixlr Editor—seen here—depending on your needs. Pixlr Express is a simple image editor with a right hand toolbar which covers basic tasks like cropping, rotating, applying basic correction filters, and so on. Pixlr Editor looks like a more traditional photo-editing application, complete with a toolbar, menu bar, and even navigator, layers, and history panels. If you're familiar with desktop applications like Photoshop and GIMP, it won't take you very long to find the location of tools like the clone stamp, selection wand, and gradient map.

Goodbye, Google Reader
With Google Reader closing on July 1, you'll need to find a new way to get your news fix. Here are some alternatives…

NEW YORK: On July 1, we say goodbye to Google Reader, a handy tool for bringing headlines and articles from your favourite websites into a single place.
Reader's demise comes as little surprise. Google says usage has declined since Reader made its debut in 2005. RSS feeds - for really simple syndication - used to be a popular way to keep track of multiple websites without having to visit each and every one. Content comes to you, through readers such as Google Reader. More recently, though, Twitter and Facebook have performed a similar role in discovering content
.
Some of the the alternatives of Google reader are

Feedly

The service that stands out is Feedly. An update available Wednesday allows Feedly to run on just about any major Web browser. The service also is available through apps on the iPhone, the iPod and Android devices.
Transferring your feeds from Reader is easy.

With Feedly, you can skip that step. Simply log in with your Google account, and all that gets done automatically. There's also no need to create and remember a separate Feedly account. You use your Google credentials each time you're back.

On Reader, I have my feeds organized by category into folders. Those categories remain intact on Feedly, though they appear alphabetical rather than topical, as I had arranged them on Reader. It isn't too difficult to reorder them.
Feedly excels in highlighting the most popular items from all your feeds, based on sharing and other interactions on Feedly and elsewhere.

Reeder

reeder
Overview: For a few years, Reeder has been a popular RSS reader for iOS and Mac; it synced with Google Reader to provide a nice mobile reading interface. The company has said Reeder will continue after July 1, but it’s not updating all its platforms at the same time: Right now, the iPhone app supports feedbin.me and standalone RSS, with the company saying “the plan is to add more services you can choose from in the next weeks and months.” (Feedly and Feed Wrangler are two of the services that will be supported.)

NewsBlur

Price: $24/year
newsblur
Overview: A premium RSS product with a number of handy features, NewsBlur’s interface is fairly similar to Google Reader’s, but it looks wonkier — and it includes some clever additions. One of NewsBlur’s best features is the option to view just the text of a story (no images and formatting), or to read a post as it appears on the original site. (Users of the old Google Reader plugin “Super Full Feeds” will love this.) A feature called “Blurblogs” lets your friends read the posts you share on Newsblur, along with your comments about the stories, even if they’re not NewsBlur users themselves.

If the news turns out to be true Gmail users could soon get an option to send payments as a mail attachment, even if the recipient doesn’t have a Gmail address. Google has announced new Google Wallet integration for Gmail in the form of an “Attach Money” button.
Soon, when you will open your ‘Compose Mail’ window you could see a ‘$’ icon next to the attachment button to send money. To send money via Gmail, you’ll just need to hover over the attachment paperclip, click the $ icon to attach money to your message, enter the amount you wish to send, and press ‘Send’.Paying back your friends is now as simple as sending an email, whether you’re chipping in for lunch or reimbursing your roommate for your share of the rent.

Google Wallet is now integrated with Gmail, so you can quickly and securely send money to friends and family directly within Gmail -- even if they don’t have a Gmail address. It's free to send money if your bank account is linked to Google Wallet or using your Google Wallet Balance, and low fees apply to send money using your linked credit or debit card.

Google Wallet is now integrated into Gmail. This means you can securely send money to friends and family in the U.S. - without leaving your Gmail inbox.
This feature will be rolling out to Gmail users ages 18+ in the U.S. over the next few months. Look for the $ icon in your attachment options. You can also get earlier access if your friends have the feature and send money to you.

To send money in Gmail, hover over the attachment paperclip, click the $ icon to attach money to your message, enter the amount you wish to send, and press send.
It’s free to send money from your Google Wallet Balance or directly from your bank account. You can also pay with your credit and debit cards for a low fee of 2.9% per transaction (minimum $0.30). Receiving money is always free.

While sending money in Gmail is currently only available on desktop, you can send money from Google Wallet at wallet.google.com from your phone or laptop. You will need to have set up Google Wallet to send and receive money, and Google Wallet Purchase Protection covers you 100% against eligible unauthorized payments.

We’re rolling out this feature over the coming months to all U.S. Gmail users over 18 years old, so keep an eye out for the $ icon in the attachment options. You can also get earlier access if your friends have the feature and send money to you.

You have a feeling that someone else used your computer (or at least made an attempt to login) while you were out.How do you get notified when such an attempt is made to intrude into your computer?

A new website (made in Turkey) called MouseLock.co may have a simple solution here. They will send you an email alert as well as a picture of the intruder as soon as someone tries to use your computer.

Here’s how Mouse Lock works.
You sign-in with your Google Account (they’ll send the alert to your Gmail address) and then select a secret pin on the screen. Next, put your mouse cursor in a designated area on the Mouse Lock website and leave the machine.

STEP-1  After signing with your gmail account you will get window as follows.

STEP-2  select a secret pin on the screen. Next, put your mouse cursor in a designated area on the Mouse Lock website and leave the machine.

STEP-3   Now when someone moves the mouse, they will also have to enter the original pin. If they fail to do that in the first few seconds, Mouse Lock will send you an email and, if the computer has a webcam, it will use that to also snap a picture of the intruder.

STEP-4     Mouse Lock won’t prevent the intrusion but will at least notify you the minute it happens.

And best of all, this a web app and thus requires no installation.

Internally, the site  uses (mouseLeaveEvent) to detect mouse movements while the webcam photographs are captured using the getUserMedia() API currently supported in Chrome and Firefox.

The Google Play store has several paid and free browsers for Android phones and tablets. Here are free five browsers for Android that are

Google Chrome

Google Chrome
Google’s very own browser for Android. Chrome comes installed on the Nexus 7 and several other Android devices. You can sign in to Chrome across your devices to sync your open tabs, bookmarks, and omnibox data from your computer to your phone or tablet.

Dolphin

Dolphin
Dolphin by far is my favourite browser. I have it installed on my Google Nexus and serves as my primary browser. The team claims it is up to 10x faster than the stock browser and 2x faster than Chrome and I can confirm it definitely is the fastest browser I’ve used! Like Firefox, there are several addons available for Dolphin which you get from the Play store.
- Download Dolphin Browser for Android
- Download Dolphin Browser Mini
- Download Dolphin Jetpack which is an addon for Dolphin that further speeds up the browser

Opera Mobile web browser

Opera Mini Opera Mini
Opera has always been one my regular browsers, both for Windows and Mac. It’s extremely fast and easy to use. Opera Mobile is designed for fast connections to give you a full experience. If you’re looking for even more speed, check out Opera Mini which compresses data by up to 90% and is the best choice for slower or limited data plans.
