JOB DESIGNATION:
1. Responsible for the development of new code in the complex area of the Teradata Database.
2. Ability to understand existing code which needs strong ‘C’ skills and understanding.
3. Excellent analytic abilities with an extensive background understanding of Database internals, SQL grammar, data structures and OS internals.
4. Candidate shall also be involved in fixing bugs in the Teradata Database code initially to gain an understanding of the different areas.
5. Experience in working in UNIX / Linux environments is highly desirable
.
CANDIDATE PROFILE:
1. B Tech / M Tech / MCA in Computer Science.
2. Development experience required.
3. Strong C programming skills.
4. Should be comfortable with SQL (ANSI/Database specific)
5. Ability to work with a Project Lead, Senior Developers, and Support Associates required.
6. Teradata knowledge a plus.
SKILL SET:
1. 0 - 2 years
2. Software development skills including software design specification, test specification, coding, testing.
3. Strong programming skills with C.
4. SQL knowledge
5. Good verbal and written communication skills
6. Be a Team Player
7. Knowledge of Teradata / any other RDBMS
